Great Support for the Scholarship!! $1000 to go...

It was great seeing everyone! We are such a great class! I thought everyone would fill out the forms to donate etc. instead you all were just handing me cash! Believe me that never happened to me in the corporate world!! We raised $642 towards the scholarship at the reunion just in cash and with a few checks! That is an awesome start! Our goal to send one kid to Outward Bound and costs $1600 so everyone that promised, please, please send in the checks made out to Outward Bound to: M & T Bank, P.O. At least we know our money is going to support a kid from our High School and we will all receive letters directly from the student explaining how the scholarhip/trip impacted them.

Again we will be sending one kid in the 9th or 10th grade for a full week of sailing/canoeing/camping/ or rockclimbing in Maine or Massettcusetts to build self estemm and leadership skills. The website has more information on the program.
We will start taking applications in January to narrow the candidates down and the actual trip will be in July for the student.

Outward Bound is going to give me a fund update on all the mail ins and online donations in August so I will post then and let you know where we stand!
