Laura Niezelski-McLaughlin

Hi Everyone!!

I ran into Jackie at the movie theater on February 21 and she told me about the site and our reunion. I live in Niantic and have been married for 12 years to Shawn, we have two children Hannah (6) and Ryan (3). I am a paralegal for a law firm in New London, we were the firm that handled the eminent domain case - Kelo v. City of New London that went to the Supreme Court in Washington, DC, I attended the hearing it was pretty exciting and we won. The pictures are great I have had some really good laughs. I love the class pictures, I must have been absent a lot because I know that I was in some of those classes but not in the picture. I do not have my stuff from school because when my parents got divorce, somehow all that stuff went missing. I talk with Deb Cahill all the time are boys have the same birthday, who would have ever thought. She is living in Deep River, 32 Village Street. It sound like the picnic is all planned but just a thought about McCook's in Niantic, it only costs about $25-$50 to rent the pavilon and has a great field and playground for the kids. I ran into Dawn Carmody now Packard she is a teacher at my daughter's school -Lillie B. Haynes in Niantic, if I see her I will let her know about the site and reunion. Just wanted to post a quicknote and hope to see all of you in June. Laura

Precious

These photos are precious... literally to me. In 1993 the No-Name Storm hit the coast of Florida - I lived directly on the water. I lost almost everything, including precious photos of my childhood and almost all of my school photos. Then my mother passed in 1994 and the rest of my photos were lost in boxes that my family tossed.

These are fabulous. If anyone has any more from Pierson, specifically class photos of:

Ms. Murphy kindergarten
Ms. Linder 1st grade
Ms. Cote 2nd grade (already posted - it was sad to see Pete Fillion in that photo)
Ms. Meisner (was that her name? this too is already posted, thank you)
Ms. Pignone 4th grade
Mrs. Flynn 5th grade

please post or email me at tammy_tolman@yahoo.com. Thank you so much!

Hey Everyone Cyndi posting for Jessie

I had lunch with Jessie (who looks GREAT by the way) the other day and she asked that I post a few pics for her. She periodically checks on the blog and is looking forward (hopefully) to the reunion.

She's married with five boys (yes, I said 5 boys) ranging from 20 to 9 years of age. She lives in Old Saybrook and currently works from home for her husband (Jess, correct me if I'm wrong on that one) She's active with her 4 younger son's with their activities and desperately trying to keep track of where her oldest son is on a "minute by minute" basis. He was deployed almost 2 months ago, serving our country on the high sea's.

Her son's (pictured here a few years back) are Tod (20), Jesse (17), Christian (15), Nicholas (13) and Matthew (9). And Tod's military picture below.

I'm not sure why I complied however, Jess asked me to post these pictures as well.... hope you all have a good laugh!

The top pic is Powder Puff, Patti Houle & Dawn Royea and the bottom pic (with balloons) is a field trip we went on.

Enjoy!

Send me your address!!!

Thanks to everyone who sent me their mailing information. I have another list of people that I'm looking for. Anyone know where the following people are... Kim Creem, Barbara Bloomquist, John Bibisi, Rich Curulla, Frank Bentrewicz, Dawn Carmody, Kim Buhler, Deb Cahill, Vincent Calabrese??? Please send their info or any others to mauradoxsee@sbcglobal.net
Thanks again,
Maura

One more picture of out dinner - the blonde is Gayle, Bob's wife. The darker blonde is Holly, Marks wife. Chris Erkhart and Keith Wilkinson are on the left. We ate at Jackies place right across from the Goodspeed opera house. It was fantastic!

Amy & Lisa, I can't remember who the boy is...

These 2 pictures are all I think I have left from Abraham Pierson... I moved in the 3rd grade & don't know what happened to any of my other pictures or even my class photos - if any one has pictures from then, I'd like to see them (I think)

Hi from Mike Fitzgerald

Hi Morgan Class of 87! I saw Danny Flynn yesterday and he told me about your reunion and your blogs. I enjoyed reading about you all over coffee this morning. It brought back a lot of old memories and happy thoughts. By the time I was done reading, my coffee cup was empty and I had a huge smile on my face. Yes I went to Xavier, but in a way I always felt a part of your class....About me, I live and work in Portland, CT. Yes, there is a Portland in CT! I'm still a letter carrier for the postal service, 18 years now. I'm recently divorced, and live alone with my dog Guinness. Still play golf whenever I can! My parents still live in Clinton, so I'm down there quite a bit. My recent life experiences have taught me a thing or two. Life is short, and it never really seems to work out as you plan. That's why I didn't want to miss this opportunity to say hi, and maybe reconnect with some old friends! I've thought about many of you over the years. Thanks for sharing your blogs and photos! If anyone would like to get in touch with me, my email is michaelfitz73@comcast.net. Thanks again for the coffee and the smile!

Saying hello....

Hi Everyone,

It's Diana. I've been lurking for a while and have been enjoying reading about where everyone is now and seeing pictures of your kids.

I'm living in Guilford with my husband, Mark (he grew up in Madison and knows a lot of you from working at McDonalds) and our two children. Rachael is my shy quiet 6 year old and Caleb is my wild, challenging 3 year old. I stay home during the day with them and love every minute of it. Mark teaches high school English so when he gets home, I go to work. I'm the school director for the Guilford branch of the New Haven Ballet. The school has about 200 students and I have about 10 teachers working for me. I also teach the older advanced classes. I've stayed involved in the local community theater groups and still do the choreography for Morgan's musicals.

Hopefully, by the reunion, I'll have defended my thesis and will have my Masters in Exercise Physiology and will be a certified Strength & Conditioning Trainer.

Looks like a lot of people are excited and planning on coming to the reunion - thanks Wendy & Maura for getting the ball rolling!

Diana

hello all

I just wanted to post a hello from Mosul Iraq, yes I said Mosul Iraq. I am Sgt Glenn Smith with the 134th Military Police Company in Norwich Ct. We were activated with the guard in the summer of 2006. I now stand watch in the second biggest city of Iraq. Things here can be really crazy and a bit more crazy than my civilian job as a police officer in Clinton, yep I came back home to be where I love it the most. Now I know that some of you might be looking through your yearbooks and going Glenn Smith didn't graduate with us and you would be correct. I left after 8th grade when my parents divorced and moved to Florida for my freshman year. I then moved back to Connecticut and lived with dad in Branford about three towns away from Clinton, closer to New Haven. I now work with Bryan Pellegrini, also a police officer in Clinton, so when you come for the reunion be sure to speed through (bryan loves pulling people over) I wanted to come and see all of you as it would be nice to catch up, I am married to a great woman (Kelly) and have two girls (Sydnie, she will be 8 in March, and Emely she will be 4 in May) Unfortunately duty calls and I won't be home until October, god willing. Please have a cold one for me at the Waters Edge and please try and get along with the picnic or family day affair. I think that in moderation if people want to bring alcohol it is okay, but it is a family day thing so no one needs to get drunk especially after the night at Waters Edge. Besides check the policy on alcohol at those locations anyway I know at the Clinton Beach there is no alcohol allowed. Gotta be sneaky and make sure that Brian isn't working...HA HA. Please take care and like I saw in some of the blogs, LIFE is so short, reunions only come up so often, try and have fun and enjoy each others company, good, bad or otherwise. I just wanted to say that I see Greg Maher around, and I also saw Patricia Houlihan around town too. Greg Navaro is still around although I haven't officially shook his hand and said hello. Take Care all
